At Energy Camp, lifelong friendships are made through small group interactions, competitions, and activities.
LEARN THE CO-OP WAY
Campers will learn how electric co-ops are driven by safety and the willingness to serve their communities. Energy Camp is designed to help develop leadership skills, have summertime fun, and at the same time learn about one of rural America’s most important industries - rural electrification.

Energy Camp Contest Rules & Requirements
This contest is open to students currently in the 8th grade. The deadline for applying is March 15, 2024!
The cooperative business model was created in the 1800s on the value of self-help, self-responsibility, equality, equity, democracy, and solidarity. With those values in mind, today’s co-ops operate under the 7 Cooperative Principles:

Commitment to Community
Research and familiarize yourself with the distinctive qualities of cooperatives. Write a 250-500 word essay regarding “Cooperative Difference” - how are co-ops unique? You will send this in with your application using the link below. Students must submit an essay to be considered for Energy Camp.
Kiamichi Electric will sponsor three students to attend!
